Yeah, I feel like at some point my maladaptive coping mechanisms (fandom and writing fic) just stopped working.

I felt so weird watching the first 2 eps of this show because I kept having "late seasons Lost vibes" and couldn't really take it seriously as a mystery (is it even a mystery show? who knows?) and even as a dystopian show (and is it even dystopian???).
I also didn't find it entertaining in the slightest. It's supposed to be quirky, but I didn't vibe with it. I just couldn't care less about the characters and the plot, but I can't really point my finger at to WHY exactly.
I ended up dropping it mid ep 3 because I began skipping forward and when I catch myself doing that it's finally time to drop the show/movie.
It was so strange watching all the news coverage the show has gathered in the last few months. I just... couldn't care less, but it was everywhere for a while.

Even if he'd survived Maul, all Qui Gon would have done would have meant his eventual death due to being an impediment to Palpatine's plans would have pushed Anakin off the edge faster. He'd have built more of an emotional attachment, and Anakin just could not handle that emotion due to his early upbringing on Tattoine. Qui Gon found him too late to change that. Palpatine just had too much power, and Anakin was too much of a rage-monkey. Only Yoda was in the right about him. Train this hot mess of a kid, do not! Yoda was right!

Same! I did attempt to watch Grand Tour and it had some funny bits but something about it just didn’t work for me. I know they changed the format and then again (and maybe again?) but I never went back to it. By the time I was in the mood to give it another try, Amazon had introduced ads into Prime Video unless you pay extra. Fuck that.
