(Anonymous) 2025-06-05 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)Yes it does, they build a dynamic that is very sweet to me anyway, and a deep friendship. The lowbrow/horny comedy and general subject matter of sexuality stays a part of the series, though, so it's totally fair to drop it if you don't care for that.
For me, the cringey sex comedy captures the awkwardness and painfulness of teen/young adult sexuality well, especially whenever two damaged and emotionally unstable characters interact, but I certainly understand why watching it or just, spending time in the POV of a boob-obsessed teen boy is not everyone's cup of tea.
